History

Within such a journey, the Kentucky collided on 19 March 1998 with a hunting - submarine of the Los Angeles-class, the USS San Juan (SSN -751 ). At the time of the accident, the San Juan was bathed, the Kentucky was on the water surface. In San Juan, the front ballast tank was ripped open, the Kentucky suffered no damage, as no one was injured. Both boats were sailing under its own power in their bases, where they were examined.
