The USS Von Steuben (SSBN-632) was a nuclear -powered missile submarines ( SSBN ) of the Lafayette- class of the United States Navy.

History

Von Steuben was founded in 1961 at Newport News Shipbuilding and commissioned in 1962 there Keel-laying. It was named Baron Friedrich Wilhelm von Steuben after the Prussian officer and U.S. general who reorganized the Continental Army in the American Revolutionary War following the German model.
