USSR Chess Championship
This list counts the USSR champion in chess. The championship was played in 1920 before the official founding of the Soviet Union and was considered a first All- Russian Olympiad, but was later counted as the first USSR championship. The last championship was held in 1991.
Discharge form
Almost all the championships were conducted as round-robin tournament ( round robin ). There were three exceptions:

- Most titles won Mikhail Botvinnik and Mikhail Tal, namely six.
- Efim Bogolyubov participated twice and won every time.
- With a total of 430 games Mark Taimanov sat most on board.
- Vitaly Zeschkowski won twice. Every time he finished last in the subsequent championship.
