Uwe Köller

Uwe Koeller (* 1964 in Neuss ) is a German trumpeter.

Life

Uwe Koeller began trumpet lessons in 1978. During his musical education, he received a scholarship from the Herbert von Karajan Foundation. His career as a solo trumpeter began in Berlin Symphonic Orchestra, from 1991 he worked at the Deutsche Oper Berlin. From 1997, Uwe Koeller taught as a visiting professor to the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz. In 1999, he then left the German Opera Berlin completely in favor of his teaching in Graz as professor of trumpet. In addition, he is a teacher of trumpet at the Folkwang Hochschule in Essen. In 2000, he founded the Austrian Brass Band on the English model and installed it at the Art University of Graz, as he shouted at the Folkwang -Hochschule the Folkwang Brass Band in life. Since 1995, Uwe Koeller permanent member of the Formation German Brass. Since October 2012 Uwe Koeller is conductor of the Municipal Band Friedberg.
