Vadim Gushchin

Vadim Vitalyevich Guschtschin (Russian Вадим Витальевич Гущин; born September 27, 1963 in Novosibirsk ) is a Russian photographic artist.

Life

Vadim Vitalyevich Guschtschin graduated from the Moscow Institute of Power. Since 1988 he has worked as a freelance artist and has participated in more than 50 group exhibitions in various galleries and museums in Russia and abroad since 1991. His first solo exhibition was held in 1995. His works belong to the collections of international museums. In his photographic still lifes, he uses the visual language of suprematism and constructivism, thus refers to the cultural heritage of Russian and underlines its national identity.

" Vadim Gushchins works constantly changing show, everyday objects, which adds to the artist productions à la Malevich and then photographed. The artist manages to remove a product from an alienated production process and to help the object to an individual value and a personal relationship with the viewer. "

" [ ... ] The artist is in his staged photographs the things a new mystery that is her old maybe he has something in her mundane practicality hidden out on a fairy tale context perhaps. Paradox is the staging because on the one hand in his photographic analysis of the forms of the spirit of the object is released and the other, he says goodbye to them by timbers them in his photographs tale coffins of frozen moments.
