The municipality Lom in Norway has a total area of 1,330 km ², with a north- south length of 70.5 km and an east- west distance of 49.3 km. For 3720 inhabitants ( as of March 31, 2013) gives a population density of 2.8 inhabitants per square kilometer. The municipality is located in Oppland Fylke in the lower Ottadal and is managed by the Vågåmo. The name comes from the Lom altnorwegischem vega, which means travel, drive. Larger settlements are Vågåmo and Lalm. The highest elevation is the Surtningsuen with a height of 2,368 meters.

About 150 houses in the community are under monument protection.
