Vakıfbank Spor Kulübü

Güneş Sigorta Vakıfbank Istanbul is a Turkish volleyball club which plays in the top European since the late 1990s.

The current team consists of the two formerly separate teams: Güneş Sigorta and Vakıfbank. Vakıfbank originally played in Ankara, Güneş Sigorta while came from Istanbul.

Güneş Sigorta is a Turkish insurance company that is partially owned by Vakıfbank, one of Turkey's largest banks.

The Gunes Sigorta Vakıfbank women's volleyball team reached the Final Four of the five times European Champions League, with one in 1998 and 1999 and second in 2011 and 2013 was even the first in years. There were 2008 winning the Challenge Cup in 2004 winning the Top Teams Cup and 2000 a third place in the CEV Cup. In the 2012/13 season Istanbul won after 47 wins in a row unbeaten the Turkish Cup, the Champions League and the Turkish Cup.

Güneş Sigorta Vakıfbank plays its home games in the Haldun Alagas Sports Hall of Istanbul.
