Vakhsh Range

The Vakhsh chain (Russian Вахшский хребет ) is a mountain range in Tajikistan.

The Vakhsh chain runs to the east of the middle reaches of the Vakhsh in NNE -SSW orientation. It extends over a length of 80 km and reaches a maximum height of 3141 m. In the north it is bounded by the river of Obichingou. The mountain range consists of sandstone, limestone and clay. Climate and vegetation are calculated in a semi-desert or subtropical steppe. The Panj Creek Kysylsu runs to the east of the mountain range.
