Valaliky

Valaliky is a municipality in Košice - okolie Okres in eastern Slovakia Kraj Košice. It is located in the southern part of the Košice kotlina on the right bank of the Hornád, about 10 km from Košice and 15 km from the Hungarian border.

Today's church was built in 1961 by the merger of four previously independent places Bernátovce, Buzice, Košťany and Všechsvätých. The first ( indirect ) written record was made in 1248, as was mentioned on the site of today's an older village called Koksov. During the 15th century, the hitherto existing village as a unit was divided into the four locations but kept together the vernacular name Valaliky. Until 1918/1919 included the four places in the county Abaúj- Torna the Kingdom of Hungary, then they came to the newly formed Czechoslovakia. Because of the First Vienna Award they were from 1938 to 1945 again part of Hungary. Since 1993, the community is a part of Slovakia.

The only surviving religious building is the late Baroque church of All Saints from the year 1786.
