Valeri Fomenkov
Valeri Ivanovich Fomenkow (Russian Валерий Иванович Фоменков; born December 24, 1938) is a former Soviet- Russian ice hockey player and coach.
Career
Valeri Fomenkow spent his career as a hockey player at Spartak Moscow, with whom he won the Soviet championship titles respectively in the seasons 1961/62, 1966/67 and 1968/69. Overall, he graduated in leagues operation of the Soviet Union 480 games in which he scored 141 goals. From 1970 to 1971 and from 1972 to 1977 he was a member of the coaching staff of Spartak Moscow. In 1995 he was honored as an Honored Master of Sports of the USSR and Russia in ice hockey.
