The river cruise ships in the valeric Kuybyshev class (Russian Валериан Куйбышев, German Valerian Kuibyshev ), which also known as "Project 92-016 / OL400 " ( 400 passengers) were known, river and channel common inland passenger motor ships of large dimensions, and were the largest in the Soviet Union. The class is named after the Soviet politician Valerian Kuibyshev.

History

The series of river cruise ships was from 1976 to 1983 at the shipyard Narodny Podnik Škoda in Komárno in Czechoslovakia (now in Slovakia) built for Volga cruise line. All nine ships were used on the Neva River, the Volga and Kama from Saint Petersburg to Perm or Volgograd. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, both the ships and the shipping company in the possession of private Russian companies have been transferred. Since March 2012 includes all ships of valeric Kuybyshev class of Vodohod.

Technology

All ships have now been completely modernized and adapted to today's requirements. The number of passenger seats was reduced significantly from 400. The ships have a diesel-electric drive with three Soviet four-stroke main engines each 736 kW and total output of 3,000 hp.

Equipment

Despite the equipment in all cabins of the ship during construction with wash basin and toilet, the ships of this project had at that time not nearly the standard of the GDR built by the VEB Elbe yards Boizenburg / Roßlau vehicles from the comfort of the Austrian shipyards AG Linz Korneuburg ( ÖSWAG ) could not be compared to built this.
