Valerie Boothby

Valerie Boothby, a native Wally printer, ( born October 18, 1904 in Hamburg, † April 14, 1982 ibid ) was a German actress.

Life

The daughter of the Hamburg theater director Ernst printer took part in German silent films since 1926. She embodied the popular at this time flapper or the type of the femme fatale. Since 1929 she played in addition to the Berlin stage by Victor Barnowsky and Fritz Rotter.

After the seizure of power in 1933, she emigrated to France. She lived many years in Egypt and worked as a portrait painter and children's author. In 1970, she returned to her hometown of Hamburg.
