Valérie Mairesse

Valérie Mairesse ( born June 8, 1955 in Paris) is a French actress.

Life

Mairesse came at the age of five years and returned to Morocco 17 years old back to France. After a short training at Cours Simon she became a stage actress and appeared from 1974 on also in the film.

Notoriety she gained in 1977 as one of the two female leads in the self-discovery piece One Sings, not the other. After that she participated in various comedies, thrillers and dramas, including disguised as policewoman Sylvette in The Umbrella murderer. For her portrayal of Esther in role-playing games, she was nominated for a 1978 César Award for Best Supporting Actress. 1998 nominated to them for the Theatre Prize Molière for best supporting actress in La Surprise de l' amour.
