Valerio Aspromonte

Valerio Aspromonte ( born March 16, 1987 in Rome ) is an Italian fencer and Olympic champion.

Achievements

In 2006, Valerio Aspromonte in Taebaek junior world champion in both the foil individual and to the team. In 2010 he was in Leipzig team European champion and won silver in the individual foil behind his teammate Andrea Baldini. At the World Championships in Paris, he won silver in the team. 2011 won Aspromonte at the World Championships in Catania in silver foil individual behind his teammate Andrea Cassarà. In the same year in Sheffield and in 2012 he was again in Legnano team European champion.

At the Olympic Games in London, the Italian foil team won with him gold, foil - single he lost to eventual Olympic champion Lei Sheng and finished sixth.
