Valeriu Bularca

Valeriu Bularca ( born February 14, 1931 in Intorsura Buzăului ) is a former Romanian wrestler.

Career

Valeriu Bularca grew up near Braşov in Maierus. As a teenager, he began an apprenticeship as a fitter in a steel mill and began the sports club of the work with the rings. Later he moved to Steagul Rosu Brasov and developed under coach Horvath to a Romanian and European top wrestler in Greco- Roman style. In the course of his career he stood for sport organizations " Energia " or " Progresul " on the mat. In 1958 he replaced the erstwhile leader in his weight class Marin Beluşica at the Romanian championships. From that point on he was by his employer for the purpose of training, as it was customary in the Eastern Bloc, optional. Before he was allowed to start at the World Championships in 1958 for the first time, he had in the years 1956 and 1957 in an international comparison, fighting against Sekal, Czechoslovakia, immanent, Finland, Stevan Horvat, Yugoslavia, Kamel Hussein, Egypt, Heribert Hofmann, Germany, Roland Carlsson and Bertil Nyström, Sweden, proven. His greatest successes were the World Champion title in 1961 and the silver medal at the Olympic Games in 1964. He was also several Balkan champion. After ending his career as an active wrestler, he became a coach.
