Valeska von Gallwitz

Valeska of Gallwitz ( born January 22, 1833 in Glogau, † April 9, 1888 in Berlin) was a German writer.

Life

She was born as Agnes Valeska Eugenie Tempsky and came from a noble family, originally established in Pomerellen since 1415 in Prussia was detectable and settled in 1640 in Silesia. Her father Karl Gustav von Tempsky and her brothers were, like most of their ancestors, officers of the Prussian army.

Valeska of Tempsky grew up in Glogau and married August 1855 in Jawor of Gallwitz called Dreyling († 1914 in Breslau), squire to Dziersno at Gleiwitz. She lived in Breslau, Hanover and Berlin and began to write in 1868.

Your first novel Editha and other stories she published in 1876 in the supervised by Karl May as editor of the magazines münchmeyer publishing house in Dresden under the pseudonym Eugen Valeski. Another used her pseudonym was C. Michael.

The Goethe and Schiller Archive Weimar Classics Foundation has a correspondence of Valeska of Gallwitz with writer and editor Joseph furrier from 1877 - 1885.
