Valvatida
Media Rochester aequalis
The flaps stars ( Valvatida ) include 13 very different families. They include both the tiny, only a few millimeters large species of the genus Asterina, and Thromidia that can reach a wingspan of 75 inches. Almost all have five arms, which always have suckers and often striking plates.
