Vampire Prosecutor

Vampire Prosecutor ( 뱀파이어 검사 - Baempaieo Geomsa ) is a South Korean television series starring Yeon Jung- hoon, Lee Won- jong, Lee Young- ah and Kim Joo -young. The crime drama series tells the story of a prosecutor, who hides his identity as a vampire and solves crimes with the help of his vampire powers. The first twelve episodes were aired from October 2 to December 18, 2011 on cable channel OCN. A second series was broadcast in September 2012.

Action

Min Tae- yeon is not your typical prosecutor. He has the uncanny ability to recognize where the victim of a crime died, and how it died. He recognizes it by the smell and taste of her blood. Few know that Tae- yeon is actually a vampire. He drinks the blood that is being sold on the black market in some bars in Seoul. Together with the Detective Hwang Soon- bum, prosecutor Yoo Jung- in and Choi Dong -man he solves murder cases. Every time he uses his vampire abilities to solve cases that seem unsolvable. However, he does not find out the identity of the vampire who made him seven years ago, a vampire. In addition, Jung- in soon suspicious of Tae- yeon's questionable methods in solving cases.

The television series had in its time period, the highest ratings of all Korean cable channels in 11 consecutive weeks. She had a peak of 4 % of the audience, the highest value for a Korean drama on a cable channel in 2011. The television series was broadcast in various countries, including Japan and Turkey. In the U.S., Vampire Prosecutor was shown on Netflix.

Publication

The series was released on DVD. There is a Korean, a Japanese and a French DVD release.

Spin Off

The end of 2013 announced the television OCD that 2014 should be a spin-off of the television series Vampire Prosecutor. This will be called The Vampire.
