Vanadium ( III) sulfate is an inorganic chemical compound of the vanadium from the group of sulfates.
Production and representation
Vanadium ( III) sulphate may be obtained by the reaction of vanadium (V ) oxide, with sulfur and sulfuric acid.
Properties
Vanadium (III ) sulfate is a yellow solid which is sparingly soluble in water. When heated in vacuo over 410 ° C, the compound in vanadyl sulfate ( VOSO4 ) and sulfur dioxide decomposes. An air forms over several weeks a green hydrate.
