Vancouver Police Museum

The Vancouver Police Centennial Museum is a museum in the Canadian city of Vancouver. It deals with the history of the Vancouver Police Department (VPD ), the city police. The museum is located at 240 East Cordova Street in Gastown district, the former seat of the municipal legal medicine ( Coroner 's Court ). The building is a listed building.

The museum is operated by the Vancouver Police Historical Society, founded in 1983, a non-profit organization. The opening took place in 1986, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the city foundation and the city police. On display are around 20,000 objects, including archival documents, photographs, publications, confiscated weapons and counterfeit money. This also offers courses for children and organized tours of the neighborhood, which are under the motto " The Sins of the City" ( Sins of the City).
