Vania Stambolova

Vanya Stambolowa ( Bulgarian Ваня Стамболова, depending on transcription and Vania, Vanja or Vanya Stambolova; born November 28, 1983 in Varna ) is a Bulgarian sprinter and hurdler.

At the World Athletics Championships in Helsinki in 2005 she left about 400 meters hurdles in the flow. The following year, she won the 400 - meter race at the World Indoor Championships in Moscow and silver at the European Championships in Gothenburg gold.

In January 2007, she was tested positive in an unannounced exercise control on testosterone and locked because of this breach of the doping regulations for two years.

At the World Championships in Berlin in 2009, she reached the semi-final over 400 meters hurdles. In 2010 she won the 400m bronze at the World Indoor Championships in Doha and about 400 meters hurdles silver at the European Championships in Barcelona.
