Vanilla ( tschech. Vanilkové rohlíčky ) are a traditional German -Austrian- Bohemian Christmas cookies in squirrel form.

They are made from a pastry made ​​of flour, butter, sugar and grated, often ( roasted ) almonds - depending on the region but also walnuts, peanuts or hazelnuts - which is flavored with the Mark of vanilla pods.
