Vannoz

Vannoz is a commune in the French department of Jura in the Franche -Comté.

Geography

Vannoz is located on 593 m above sea level. M., about 4 km north of the city Champagnole. The scattered village extends in the Jura, on a plateau at the northern foot of the Angillon of Mont Rivel and west of the heights of the Forêt de la face.

History

The territory of Vannoz was already inhabited during the Gallo- Roman period. Is first mentioned in the 12th century Vannoz.
