History

Prior to the independence of the country the currency of the British-French Kondominions New Hebrides franc was on.

On the 5000 Vatu bill one of the diving towers is shown to be built on the island of Pentecost in the old tradition of bamboo rods. Young men tie vines to their feet and jump into the deep, which served as a model for the bungee jumping.
