Svante ( Smidge ) Lillebror is 8 years old. His greatest desire is a dog, because he loves dogs very much. In his room, hang many pictures of them. Although he has some friends from school, but he often has no desire to play with them, even if it is boring at home. When he gets to know Karlsson, he becomes his best friend, even if this often annoys him with brushing or taunts. He often tried to imagine his family his new friend, but it comes to long not because Karlsson always vanishes at the critical moment. Therefore His parents think long, he would only come up with Karlsson.

Karlsson Karlsson is a pudgy boy who lives in a house overlooking the rooftops of the city and has a propeller on his back, he bring to rotate by a switch button on the belly and can fly like that. The figure of Karlsson has some parallels to Pippi Longstocking. Just as he lives alone, without parents and has superhuman abilities, like flying. However, there are also big differences, because Pippi is generally very friendly and helpful, Karlsson, however, is very full of himself, unhelpful and if someone is doing him a favor, he immediately finds a reason to complain yet. In very rare situations you notice that Karlsson is not as cold and heartless as he seems. He is a self-painted picture entitled " portrait of a very lonely, little red rooster ". This could indicate that even Karlsson lonely moments in which he a family like Lillebror she has desires. In addition, he acts as if he was sick, so Lillebror "like a father " can take care of him. Feelings may Karlsson difficult to admit and if so, then he is doing very surprised: " Yes, I like you Even though you're just a silly little boy That's very strange, I would like to know why.. . " ( When he is asked by Lillebror, whether he likes it ) While Karlsson looks outwardly like a boy, but he already seems to be an adult. This is supported by his bright hair and self- statements such as: "I am a man in the prime of life ... " Everything Karlsson himself does, it seems itself extremely well to please. Very often he used the sentence beginning: "I am the world 's best .... ". He holds also for extremely smart and handsome. Lillebror other hand, he apes like it when these scolds him because he has again concocted a prank. If Lillebrors parents come, Karlsson disappears quickly. Later he has for the excuse that he would be " home inspect " must.

Reviews

" Astrid Lindgren film which, although formally challenging and not consistently consistent in logic, even for younger children offers interesting conversation."
