Varzuga River

The Warsuga (Russian Варзуга, Варзуга ) is a river in the south of the Kola Peninsula in the Murmansk Oblast in Russia.

The Warsuga flows into the White Sea. It has a length of 254 km and a catchment area of ​​9840 km ². The average discharge is 77 m³ / s In May and June, the outflow is up to 300 m³ / s The river is regularly frozen from October to May. The largest tributaries of the Warsuga are coming from the left Seryoga and Kiza. The Seryoga drained the lake Sergosero. The Kiza meets only a few kilometers from the sea on the Warsuga.

The Warsuga is considered the richest salmon rivers of the Kola Peninsula.
