Västra skogen metro station

Västra skogen is an underground station of the Stockholm Metro. It is located in the district of the municipality of Solna Huvudsta. The station is served by the Blå linjen the Stockholm subway system. It belongs to the rather moderate frequented stations of the metro network. On a normal working day rise 7,000 commuters here.

The station was taken on August 31, 1975, in operation, when the first section of the Blå linjen between T- centralen - was opened Hjulsta. The station was built in an open design, the platforms are approximately 40 feet below ground. The station is located between the stations Stadshagen and Huvudsta (T10 ) or Solna centrum (T11 ). Stockholm Central Station is about four kilometers.

The station is home to the longest escalator in Sweden. It is 66 meters long and overcomes a height difference of 33 meters. The treadmill speed is 0.75 meters per second, so a trip takes about one and a half minutes.
