Vasyl Semeniuk

Vasyl Semenjuk (Ukrainian Василь Семенюк, Russian Василий Семенюк; born August 2, 1949 in Dora at Jaremtscha, Soviet Union, now Ukraine) is Archbishop of Ternopil archeparchy - Sboriw.

Life

Vasyl Semenjuk was born in Dora. With twenty-five years, on December 22, 1974 Semenjuk was ordained in the Eparchy of Ternopil priest. Ibid took place on 10 February 2004, at the age of fifty-four years, first appointment as auxiliary bishop, at the same time as Titular Bishop of Castra Severiana. On April 3, 2004, the solemn consecration by Archbishop Volodymyr Sternjuk CSsR. With fifty-seven years Semenjuk was appointed on 19 October 2006 as bishop of the Eparchy of Ternopil - Sboriw. With the increase of the eparchy to archeparchy 2011 Semenjuk became the archbishop.
