Biography

First learned Vasily Yermilov 1905-1909 ornamental art in the workshop of Libor Trakal. Between 1910 and 1911 he studied at the Academy of Applied Arts in Kharkov in M. Fedorov. From 1911 to 1912 he was a member of the " Golubaja Lilia " (Blue Lily) in Kharkiv.

In 1912 he moved to the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture and met in the same Vladimir Mayakovsky and David Burliuk. The following year he took in Moscow also teaching in the studio of Ilya Mashkov and Pyotr Konchalovsky. Yermilov took from 1913 to 1914 hours in the studio of Edward Steinberg and O. Hrot because he was interested in frescoes and mosaics, and was a member of the group " Budiak " in Kharkiv.

In 1914 he went back to the University of Applied Arts to Kharkiv, where he graduated with a diploma as a painter. Four years later he founded the group "Alliance of Seven" with the artist Marija Sinjakowa and presented in the same year with the " Alliance of Seven" in Kharkiv from.
