Vav (protein)
Vav proteins are GTP exchange factors for Rho GTPases. This will contribute to the signal line of cells. In Säugezellen there are three different Vav proteins. While Vav -1 is restricted to hematopoietic cells, Vav -2, and Vav -3 are expressed in different cell types. All three contain a DH ( Dbl - homology ) domain that catalyzes the GTP exchange in small Rho GTPases, a PH ( pleckstrin - homology ) domain and an SH2 domain that is flanked by two SH3 domains.
