Vazul

Vazul or Vászoly (sometimes Wacilo, eng. Vasul, Greek: Basil ) was in the 11th century a Hungarian prince, son of Prince Mihail, grandson of Grand Duke Taksony.

About his life we know very little.

His son, Wancel, or Wancil was Stephen I. Vetter; As such, he was entitled to the Hungarian throne after Prince Emmerich's death. Because it was feared that Vazul, who led a wild life and heath was, in fact would be king of Hungary, Stephen had him arrested and dazzle. However, it later accused the Bavarian Queen, Stephen I. wife, Gisela of this act. Vazuls sons was expelled from the country.

Vazul had three sons: Andrew, Béla and Levente, two of which later kings of Hungary were.
