Vechur cow

The Vechur beef is a rare Zebu cattle breed that is after the village Vechur in Kottayam district in Kerala, India, named. With an average length of 124 cm and a height of 87 cm, the Vechur beef is the smallest breed of cattle in the world. It produces relative to the chuck the highest amount of milk.

The attempt at a Scottish company to patent the genetic code of the Vechur - cow, sparked protests from environmentalists.
