Veerasamy Ringadoo

Sir Veerasamy Ringadoo ( * 1920, † September 9, 2000 ) was from 17 January 1986 to March 12, 1992 Governor General of Mauritius. After the constitutional amendment in 1992, in Mauritius declared a Republic, in 1992 he became the first President of Mauritius.
