Vehicle door

A door panel is the cover of the inside of the vehicle door in a passenger car. Door panels were formerly mostly made only of cardboard and covered usually only a portion of the door. In modern vehicles, door panels are usually padded and formed as a continuation of the dashboard. Door panels house the door opener, Türverriegeler, armrest, door handle, window crank and buttons for power windows and central locking, speaker, can holder, side air bags, trays, ashtrays (usually only in the rear ), mirror adjustment and on some vehicles such as the BMW 5 Series and the air vents.
