Vektor (Band)

Vector is an American Thrash-/Progressive-Metal-Band from Tempe, Arizona. The band was founded in 2002 and is available at Heavy Artillery Records.

History

Just a year after the band's formation was published with Nucleus their first demo, which, however, brought the band a record deal. In the following years, the band played numerous concerts in Arizona and appeared as the opening act for renowned bands like Testament, Hirax and Iced Earth. In 2006, the debut album Demolition was released on their own. A year later, the second demo Hunger for Violence. In March 2009 the band signed a contract with Heavy Artillery Records, who released their second studio album Black Future in November 2009. In November 2011 was the album Outer Isolation, that again contains songs from the album Demolition, published by Heavy Artillery.

Style

The music of vector is usually quick mock Thrash Metal, which also includes progressive influences through many tempo and rhythm changes. The songs are usually long. The second studio album Black Future contains three songs that are more than ten minutes. One of the main influences of the band include groups such as Voivod, Kreator and Watchtower. The vocals of David DiSanto alternate between guttural singing and screaming in falsetto.
