Vendœuvres

Vendoeuvres is a commune with 1132 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Indre in the Centre region; it belongs to the district Châteauroux and Canton Buzançais.

Geography

The municipality is located in the Regional Natural Park of Brenne. Neighboring municipalities are Mézières -en- Brenne, Sainte -Gemme, Buzançais, La Chapelle- Orthemale, Neuillay -les- Bois, Méobecq and Migné.

Through the municipal area the Claise flows.

Vendoeuvres had a station on the railway line Le Blanc -Argent -sur -Sauldre, which was closed in this section in 1953. In the village the Department streets intersect D 24 ( Clion - Ciron ) and D 925 ( Azay -le- Ferron - Châteauroux )
