Venerable

Venerable Servant of God (Latin Venerable Dei servus ) or Venerable Servant of God ( the Venerable Dei serva ) is a title of honor of the Roman Catholic Church.

The title is awarded to the faithful, in which in a canonically ordered procedure the exercise of heroic virtue was found. He is usually the precursor for the beatification. The award will be announced in the presence of the Pope. After the beatification process has begun, the person may be liturgically called " servants of God " before the heroic virtues was found.

A Venerable Servant of God is worshiped not by reference in the liturgical prayers and the Eucharistic Prayer of the Mass, but the believer is for their personal faith life his invocation to intercede and his imitation allowed in life.
