Venezuela women's national football team

The Venezuelan national football team of women represented Venezuela in international women's football. The national reports to the Football Association of Venezuela and is trained by Keneth Zseremeta. Venezuela and Colombia were the first countries in South America which fought out a women's soccer match. On July 13, 1966, the Venezuelan team against Colombia in Caracas lost with 1:2. The game is not recognized by FIFA as the official international match.

The selection took four of the previously transmitted CONMEBOL South American Championships in part, with the third place 1991, the largest " success " than only three teams participated. At a World Cup or the Olympics, the selection of Venezuela has not yet participated. Venezuela played to 2006 only against the other South American countries. After two and a half years international break found in 2009 for the first time games against the Central American countries Cuba and Mexico instead.
