Verbier Festival

The Verbier Festival is a music festival, which was launched in 1994. For 17 days in July, stars of classical music such as Evgeny Kissin, Martha Argerich, Thomas Quasthoff, Lang Lang and others gather in front of the backdrop of the Swiss Alps in Verbier. The main idea of this festival is to establish contacts between established artists and emerging talents.

Concept

The festival is designed as a large workshop with concerts and annually attracts about 40 000 visitors. During the period of summer festivals and workshops is served daily in the Verbier Fest'Off in different places free concerts and road shows.

As part of the Verbier Festival Academy renowned teachers work together with young talent and the two Verbier Festival Orchestra coming artists can gain experience under the guidance of leading conductors.

This will fund the Festival of the Municipality of Bagnes, the Loterie Romande, the canton of Valais and the Sandoz Family Foundation. Since 2005, the Verbier Festival is a foundation.
