Véronique Silver

Véronique Silver ( born September 2, 1931 in Amiens, Somme, France, † July 24, 2010 in Paris, actually Louise Isabelle Maria Puret ) was a French stage and film actress.

Life

Véronique Silver played in the 1950's first theater. In 1954, she worked as an extra in Sacha Guitry Versailles - to see kings and women (Si Versailles m'était conté ) for the first time in a movie. From the 1960s they often worked in the French television productions. It was followed by appearances as a character actress in films by Alain Resnais as My American Uncle ( Mon Oncle d' Amérique, 1980) and Life is a novel (La Vie est un roman, 1983). In The walker of Sans Souci (La Passante du Sans Souci ) they stood in 1982 alongside Romy Schneider in front of the camera. For her portrayal of the narrator Madame Odile Jouve, François Truffaut in the film drama The Woman Next Door (La Femme d' à côté, 1981) she was nominated in 1982 as Best Supporting Actress for the César. With Fanny Ardant, who had played the title role in The Woman Next Door, Silver in 1989 was also in the television production The Great Caper (La Grande cabriole ) to see a costume drama about the French Revolution by Nina Companeez.

With the actor Henri Virlojeux Silver was married until his death in 1995. She herself died in 2010 at the age of 78 years in Paris.
