Reviews

Frank Stoever designated Abigor in Voices from the Darkside as the best and most professional after Summoning Black Metal Band of Austria and her debut as a great publication. Wrote John Chedsey of Satan Stole My Teddy Bear, although the band firmly rooted in what he regarded as the parody way most outward signs of Black Metal ( " silly " corpse paint and the photographs in the liner notes ), whether they demonstrate to devastation / Invoke the Dark Age, what it was all for a good, solid black metal album. The album transported through a dark, pensive, angry and scary atmosphere. There convince by Abigors ability to write sharp lead guitar runs and vary too high tempos and musical " attacks ". The album was a good start, if you do not yet know Abigor, and best known to him the band. Also Turov from Vönger music magazine described it as best Abigor - release, " a classic of Black Metal" and one of the best albums of the genre. The album had been " very thoughtfully arranged ": " The two guitar tracks complement each other great, from time to time occurring Keyboard does the rest. One can say that this album is more complex than I care Emperors ' Anthems ...', even if the sound is very raw and unpolished. "

Toroddfuglesteg of Prog Archives According lacks the album to the qualities of other bands of that time as Burzum, he himself had Abigor always considered a third-rate black metal band saw and confirmed by this album; it is only suitable for diehard black metal fans. However, eight minutes long Kingdom of Darkness is a very good song. According to Gino Filicetti of Chronicles of Chaos devastation appears / Invoke the Dark Age at first hearing as a typical black metal album, but is levied on closer listening by certain nuances evolving to a higher plane of existence. He also gave the Kingdom of Darkness as one of his favorites.
