Very Large Ore Carrier

Under the size designation Very Large Ore Carrier ( VLOC ) ( German: very large ore carriers ) is the group of the largest currently in ore transport bulk cargo carriers used. The next higher size designation is Ultra Large Ore Carrier ( ULOC ) ( German: extremely large ore carriers ).

Particulars

The size specification referred ore carrier that can transport more than 200,000 tons of ore. The largest ship of this type was almost one and a half decades, the built in South Korea in 1986 Berge Stahl. Since the end of March 2011, the Vale Brasil has held this title with around 400,000 tonnes of cargo capacity.
