Vesre

Vesre ( from revés = vice versa) is a popular word game in Buenos Aires. This syllables are reversed in their order and there are new art words.

This play on words is part of the vernacular of the porteños ( people literally harbor, and today residents of Buenos Aires ), which is dominated by Lunfardo. This sociolect originated as a secret language within the prisons and the background milieu Buenos Aires at the beginning of the 20th century, the terms of which eventually resulting in the colloquial language of the middle class. Due to the importance of capital for the entire country individual terms are used in the standard language of Argentina. Today, the Lunfardo is mainly still used in the tango.
