Věžná (Žďár nad Sázavou District)

Věžná ( German Wischna ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located ten kilometers south of Bystřice nad Perštejnem and belongs to Okres Zdar nad Sázavou.

Geography

Věžná is on the left above the valley of Nedvědička in the valley of the brook Věžná in the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands. In the northeast Nad Drahami rises (631 m), east of the Dlouhá skala (610 m ), in the south of the Věžná ( 556 m), southwest of the Dejmalka (600 m) and in the northwest the Zadnà Končiny (552 m). Below the village the railway line from Tišnov leads to Bystřice nad Perštejnem by the Nedvědičkatal. The railway station " Věžná " is located one kilometer south of the village at the foot of the mountain Věžná in the forest.

Neighboring towns are Suché Louka, Josefov and Pernštejnské Janovice in the north, Býšovec and Kovářová in the northeast, Smrček in the east, Pernsteins and Sejrek the southeast, boron and Střítež in the south, Mitrov and Bukov the southwest, Jabloňov in the west and Rožná in the northwest.

History

The first mention of Věžná took place in 1376. It is believed that the name of the village derives from one to the Hradský Kopec found to protect parties with a stone tower. The place was always to rule Pernsteins belonging.

After the abolition of patrimonial Věžná formed with the district Pernštýnské Janovice 1850 a municipality in the district Nove Mesto. In 1949 the community was the Okres Bystřice assigned nad Perštejnem. In 1961, the incorporation of Jabloňov, at the same time the community came to Věžná Okres Zdar nad Sázavou. In 2002, " Na rybníkách " was north of the village on an old pond instead reinvested a pond on the corridor.

Věžná is a winter sports area today. South of the village operates the ski club Věžná a 283 -meter tow.

The municipality consists of the villages Věžná Jabloňov ( Jabloniow ) Pernštejnské Janovice ( Janowitz ) and Věžná ( Wischna ).
