Vicars Island

Vicars Iceland is a small uninhabited, snowy island about 2 miles ( 3.7 km ) off the coast of the Antarctic Enderbylands. The island was discovered Expedition led by Douglas Mawson on 12 January 1930 by the British Australian and New Zealand Antarctic Research. Mawson named it after an Australian textile company that had given the expedition material for uniforms.
