Vicki Vomit

Vicki Vomit ( born July 9, 1963 as Jens Hellmann ) is an Erfurt musicians and comedians. Vomit plays parody music with humorous to satirical and socially critical lyrics.

Hellmann was born in Trusetal (Thuringian Forest). In the 1970s, the family moved to Erfurt. Through the example of his cousin Tamara Danz he began early interest in music and played already in the school years in various bands. In the early 1980s he played as a bassist in the Erfurt teen band " Prinzz ", which disappeared after initial success and only appeared in the late 1980s under the name " Blitzz " and now as a heavy metal band again. " Blitzz " published in 1989 Steamhammer / SPV released the album " Do The Blitzz " on which Hellmann " I. Wahnoff Flatzz " acted under the name. " Blitzz ", however, disbanded in 1992.

Published in 1994, Hellmann his first CD, " One step forward " as Vicki Vomit at the Berlin label " New Times " / Modern Music. Songs like "Out of work and fun " and " What to do with Grandma's Corpse " landed on various samplers and thus ensured a rapid cult status. In 1998 he recorded the CD " Punk cuddly 5", which soon could not continue to appear under this name due to a threatened lawsuit by Sony Music for the similarity to the sampler KuschelRock. 1999 he moved to Speyer Label "Good Life Records ". There, among others, appeared a live DVD of the band and the album " Für'n Appel and chicken feed ". Since 2011, Vicki Vomit published under his own label " Wool Monster Records ".

In addition to his musical performances Vicki Vomit is also equipped with a full-length program as a comedian on the go. Since 2007, he moderated the eastern branch of the comedy lounge, and since 2001 he organized the " Erfurt Songwriter Festival ", wants to make known the young artist.

Trivia

1997 sued the then Minister for Family Affairs Claudia Nolte the singer for a song, in which he sang to have spent a night of passion with the politician.
