VÃctor Israel
Víctor Israel ( eigt. José María Soler Vilanova; born June 13, 1929 in Barcelona, † 19 September 2009) was a Spanish actor.
Life
Israel was born in Barcelona, where he made his acting training. He had his first major role in front of the camera in 1962 in the film Tierra de todos by Antonio Isasi - Isasmendi. In the same year he participated in the Western European film Till the blood of Michael Carreras with. He has appeared in nearly 150 films, including Doctor Zhivago.
Israel worked all his professional life as a character actor; his physiognomy with a small head, thin hair, a crooked mouth and teeth predestined him for roles as cranky loner, weird characters in horror movies and weird Padres. Until his death, he was playing with, especially in Spanish and Italian films, including a number of spaghetti westerns such as Bad and the Ugly.
