Víctor Valdés Arribas ( born January 14, 1982 in L' Hospitalet de Llobregat, Catalonia ) is a Spanish football goalkeeper. Valdés went through the youth academy of FC Barcelona and plays since 2002 for the first team of the club.

Career

In July 1992, Valdés was taken at the age of ten years in the youth academy of FC Barcelona. Previously, he had played at Penya Barcelonista Cinc Copes. In September 1992, Victor moved with his family to Tenerife and returned three years later to FC Barcelona back.

Private

Valdés is married to Yolanda Cardona the Spanish model, who gave birth to a son in August 2009.

Valdés has a younger brother, Álvaro, and an older brother, Ricardo.
