Victoria Stilwell

Victoria Stilwell ( born July 20, 1969 in Wimbledon, England) is a British dog trainer and author. She became famous by the TV series " The dog or me! "

Career

Stilwell studied acting. Due to the low income as an actress, she worked as a medical assistant in a veterinary clinic. She specialized mainly on dogs and their behavior. In 1999 she moved with her husband to the United States. There they founded several dog schools.

Stilwell rejects dominant education of dogs, such as alpha roll, categorically. It focuses on educating dogs by a sense of achievement. In 2010 she founded Positively Dog Training, a global network which relies on the education of the dogs more to words than deeds. Currently, she is certified by the Animal Behavior and Training Associates and is a longstanding member of APDT.

In newspapers and magazines, she writes columns on animal welfare, particularly dogs protection, and is committed to dog rescue. Since 2005 she teaches in her TV show " The dog or I! " Give people the right attitude towards their dogs.
