Vid Kavtičnik [ vit kau̯titʃnik ] ( born May 24, 1984 in Slovenj Gradec ) is a Slovenian handball player who plays on the outside right position with the French club Montpellier HB.

Career

Kavtičnik played for RK Velenje, before he came to the German first division club THW Kiel in the season 2005 /2006. There he shared the position with Christian Zeitz. End of the season 2008/2009 left Kavtičnik the THW. Together with his colleague Nikola Karabatic, he spent 1.5 million Euro transfer fee to Montpellier HB. Both had with the THW valid contracts until 2012.

He completed so far 122 caps for the Slovenian national team and thereby thrown 375 goals. He was most recently at the World Championship in 2013 in Spain here.

Vid Kavtičnik is married and has one daughter.
